Natural or Artificial: Which Zeolite is the Best for You?

You probably have heard of zeolites and their highly effective health benefits. They are being recommended by doctors all over the world for their unique structure that is responsible for trapping all antitoxins and harmful microbes from inside the body and safely dispatching them out. Zeolite powder in a glass of water is the most preferred form of consumption because zeolites don’t dissolve in water and they are easier to consume that way.

We also have heard of ‘synthetic’ zeolites: zeolites that are made in laboratories, mimicking the structure of natural zeolites. While they have been recently discovered, and many more synthetic zeolites are being designed, the term ‘synthetic’ and ‘healthy’ does not go together well. Most people prefer natural to be healthier than synthetic ones, and this creates sine confusion over which zeolite should be preferred.

Natural Zeolites

Natural zeolites are formed in nature, and the only man-made processes they are subjected to is their purification. Natural zeolites need to be purified extensively to make it safe for human consumption. The main use of natural zeolites is for human consumption, and for minor commercial use. If you are using zeolites as a health supplement, they have to be natural zeolites only.

Synthetic Zeolites

Synthetic zeolites are developed in laboratories, and they are made especially for their various properties that are not usually found in natural zeolites. There are about a million different combinations possible for synthetic zeolites because their structure can be modified any way as desired. However, these are usually used in industries where zeolites are required in huge quantities. Natural zeolites have limited sources, so synthetic zeolites were made for commercial usage. They are not used for consumption. Plus, the modifiable properties of synthetic zeolites make them perfect for use in different commercial and production scenarios.
